– Featured X

Artist Republik acquired artist collaboration platform Featured X for an undisclosed amount, the company announced today.

Featured X essentially allows you to work with participating artists to guest feature, co-write, MIDI compose or perform live instrumentals for a song for a fee. Some of the artists on the platform include Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D., Kellin Quinn and  Matty Best, of Sleeping With Sirens, Frankie Palmeri of Emmure, Tanner Wayne of In Flames, and Brandon Saller of Atreyu.
“FeaturedX is not just a platform but a community,” Featured X co-founder Ryan ‘Tuck’ O’Leary said in a statement. “These individuals are my friends and together we were able to support each other through one of the most difficult years for a touring musician. It was incredible to see what we were all capable of when we stuck together and that’s what FeaturedX is really all about. The table is large, everyone is invited and everyone can eat.”
Having opened up eight months ago, Featured X said they have more than 1,000 active vendors and have had more than 4,000 collaboration requests on the platform.
Artist Republik is an indie-music business marketplace that launched in early 2020, offering resources for musicians to produce, distribute and market their music, as well as manage bookings, track ticket sales and network.
The company says it is currently valued at $5 million, with artist Hopsin as well as investors David Beirne and wealth adviser Humble Lukanga on board.
“The indie music industry needed its own ‘LinkedIn meets ASCAP’ social community to affordably bring talent together to make deals.” Artist Republik founder Nick Cianfaglione said in a statement. “Artist Republik accelerates this business building by dismantling industry conventions that bottlenecked careers.”
