Live Nation, Done Events, Coca-Cola Arena Win At The Middle East Event Awards

The building won “Venue of the Year” at The Middle East Event Awards.

Live Nation Middle East won in the “Best Music Event” category of the virtual Middle East Awards for promoting concerts during Diriyah Season, a month-long celebration featuring various event genres, that ran Nov. 22-Dec. 21, 2019. The 2021 awards were announced April 5.
The 17,000 capacity Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, operated by ASM Global, was awarded in the “Venue of the Year” category. The team has been bringing events with a live audience back since November 2020, when the building introduced a sophisticated hygiene concept as part of ASM Global’s VenueShield initiative.

The opening ceremony was promoted by Done Events.

Area CEO Guy Ngata, who anticipates the number of events increasing again in the coming months, said, “Dubai Holding and our partners have been unwavering in their commitment to Coca-Cola Arena during a difficult year, and we look forward to continuing to deliver world-class events.”

Promoter Done Events took home the award in the category “Best Social Event” for the Caesars Bluewaters & Hell’s Kitchen Launch. It was a tie, Done Events shared the category with Viola Communications, which was awarded for the Abu Dhabi Science Festival & Innovator 2019.
The night’s big winners included DXB Live, the experimental events production agency by the Dubai World Trade Centre launched in 2016, as well as event agency People.
DXB Live won “Best Stand Design & Build” for its stand “The Ministry of Interior” at GITEX Technology Week 2019. The company’s Mariam Al Ali won the “Young Achiever” award, and its senior vice president was crowned “Industry Icon”.
People won in the category “Best Employee Support Strategy” as well as twice for the Special Olympics opening and closing ceremonies (“Best Community Even” and “Best Entertainment Production”).
