The digital conference will take place on the Midem Digital platform, from 28 June to 01 July

Three weeks ahead of its opening, Midem unveiled program highlights of Midem Africa, which will take place online this year and feature exclusive keynotes from the region’s leading professionals.

Contributions come from Warner, data gurus MRC Data, as well as major African artist like Mr Eazi or Focalistic. ViacomCBS Networks Africa, with its youth culture and entertainment channels MTV Base and BET Africa, have been announced as official media partners to Midem Africa.
An entire pan-African conference program with many keynotes and presentations alongside an exclusive business accelerator program for DIY artists and execs, is part of the online conference.
One panel is dubbed “The Music Industry in Africa Today & Tomorrow: a Perspective From Warner Music”, features Temi Adeniji (MD, Warner Music South Africa & SVP, Strategy, Sub-Saharan Africa), Moe Hamzeh (MD, North Africa & Middle East, Warner Music Group) and Alfonso Perez-Soto (President, Emerging Markets, Warner Music Group).
Juliet Emihuan, the Director of Google in West Africa, and Catherine Lu¨ckhoff, CEO of 20fifty, will talk about why Africa is a good market to enter for music tech startups.
MRC Data’s VP Global Helena Kosinski will share exclusive data on music consumption in the African market, and more artists will speak to share insights into the region.
Free and open to all, Midem Africa will take place on the Midem Digital platform, June 28-July 1.
