Danny Wimmer Presents Acquires Billy Alan Productions
Billy Alan Productions – which for years has been led by Billy Brill – has joined the Danny Wimmer Presents family, adding its talent booking, media buying and branding services with an emphasis on Native American casinos.
The company will be rebranded to Billy Alan 2 and will be led by Brill, who has been booking talent for Native American casinos since 1999 and previously worked with radio stations in New York, Florida and California and worked at Interscope, EMI and MCA Records. He was named Pollstar’s Talent Buyer of the Year in 2012 and over the years has booked Ringo Starr, ZZ Top, Snoop Dogg, Gabriel Iglesias, The Beach Boys and many more.
“I love being the advocate and talent buyer for Native Americans casinos,” Brill said in a statement. “My goal is to collaborate with DWP and utilize their resources to bring in top level talent to the casinos, offer better ticket prices, and ultimately bring in wider audiences – including more VIPs – to the casino shows.”
Joe Moallempour will serve at Billy Alan 2’s National Casino Coordinator and both will be integrated into DWP.
Danny Hayes, CEO of DWP said in a statement: “We love the business that Billy has built and feel that our resources will help him grow and develop the platform. Native American properties are becoming a larger part of every artist’s routing and it makes sense for DWP to expand into this space.“
Danny Wimmer has been plotting a major return to festivals in 2021, with announced events including Louder Than Life, Welcome To Rockville, Aftershock and Inkcarcertation.
Danny Wimmer himself was named to Pollstar’s annual Impact 50 list earlier this year.
The company also opened a standalone BrandMark agency, led by EVP Maureen Valker-Barlow.
DWP’s Molly Zidow will be speaking at Pollstar Live! later this week.
