Stefan Lehmkuhl and Thomas Resch, two of the five co-founders of German promoter Goodlive, announced their departure from the company, which places new responsibilities on the remaining team.
Julian Gupta, managing director of Goodlive’s splash! festival, will head the company’s festival booking team as senior director. Additionally, he will take on management and booking for another German hip hop festival, Heroes, which Goodlive has been partnering with since last year.
Fruzsina Szép was already promoted to MD of Goodlive’s brand-new Superbloom Festival in Munich in 2019. Forced to postpone twice, Szép remains focussed on pulling off a successful Superbloom premiere in 2022.
Alongside Justus Mang, who heads Goodlive’s touring business as CEO of Goodlive Artists, Gupta and Szép will assist the remaining managing directors of Goodlive, Marko Hegner and Mirko Roßner.
Goodlive was founded by Matthias Hörstmann, Marko Hegner, Stefan Lehmkuhl, Thomas Resch and Mirko Roßner. Hörstmann left in 2017, now Lehmkuhl and Resch have followed.
Munich-based investment company Paragon Partners continues to be involved as minority shareholder in the Goodlive GmbH.
Lehmkuhl said he was looking forward to having some time to pause and think and reflect on his future in live entertainment, a business he’s helped shape for more than 20 year.
He said, he was proud and happy that Gupta, Szép and Mang, who he considers close confidants, will be taking the helm at Goodlive.
