Live Nation Acquires Australia’s Mellen Events

It will give Melbourne-based LN an extra operating office. Its strategic plan is an on-ground presence in all major cities in the region, and to connect with operations across Asia, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand. 

The deal also sees the joint operation of Kings Park in Perth and Nikola Estate in Swan Valley.

Mellen Events, launched in 1996, stages Ord Valley Muster, Kaleidoscope Festival of light, art and music, and youth festival Future Music, while bringing to the West Coast Kylie Minogue, Bryan Adams, Bryan Ferry, James Blunt, Burt Bacharach, John Farnham, Paul Kelly, Lorde and the A Day On The Green brand.

Live Nation Asia Pacific president Roger Field said Mellen Events would get “the resources to expand their local business, giving us the ability to produce shows with even greater local knowledge and together we’ll work on a shared commitment to bring a greater volume and variety of shows to Western Australia.”
