–
How sweet it is to be back on tour! James Taylor announced that he and Jackson Browne are having so much fun on their summer tour they’ve extended the road trip. The new North American leg features 18 shows in November and December.
The esteemed folk rock singer/songwriters have both released new albums in the past year and a half.
Taylor released American Standards in February 2020, marking his 20th studio album. The LP includes his take on classics such as “Moon River,” “Almost Like Being in Love,” “God Bless The Child” and “The Surrey with the Fringe On Top.” The collection was awarded a Grammy in the category of Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album.
Browne released his 15th studio album, Downhill from Everywhere, in July. The LP is his first album of new material in seven years.
The next stop on the summer tour will take Taylor and his All-Star Band and very special guest Jackson to the Giant Center in Hershey, Pa., for a show Thursday night. Up next is Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y., Aug. 21.
The new fall dates begin with a handful of Florida shows, starting Nov. 10 at BB&T Center in Sunrise, Fla. Cities on the routing include Orlando, Milwaukee, St. Louis, Omaha and Des Moines. Last stop is Dec. 13 at Keybank Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
An announcement on Taylor’s site says “when purchasing your presale tickets, please pay close attention to the updated vaccine and COVID testing protocols now required to attend a concert.”
