Zac Brown Band makes a usually-yearly stop at Boston’s Fenway Park, and this got to do so once more.
Billy Joel’s two stadium concerts ensure that he keeps his grasp on No. 1 for a third consecutive week, and he may have it for a while.
His average ticket count of 38,679 from concerts at Boston’s Fenway Park and Highmark Stadium in Buffalo, N.Y. tops the second act on the chart
by almost double the number of tickets.
Zac Brown Band is at No. 2, also on the strength of two stadium performances along with four amphitheater dates, but only one of the stadiums
was a major sports venue in the 50,000-seat range or higher. Like Joel, the group also played Fenway in August, selling out the ballpark with 35,712 attendees. Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pa. recorded 18,311 sold seats, while the four sheds averaged about 16,000 tickets. The country
group debuts as the HOT SHOT tour in this week’s tally with a 19,723-ticket average.
Also hitting the chart for the first time is Greta Van Fleet, ranked No. 11 based on a ticket average of 7,057 from two performances. The rock band appeared at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tenn. near Nashville in its inaugural season, playing the second show at the venue that opened two nights earlier with a benefit concert.
