Sixthman, led by founder Andy Levine, has been sending artists and music fans on cruises since 2001. Twenty-one years later, the Atlanta-based company is making its European debut, sending the Hammership out to sea with a heavy metal lineup led by Sabaton, Powerwolf, Kreator and Accept.

Other artists on the bill include Jinjer, The Darkness, Hämatom, Frog Leap, All Hail The Yeti, and Lucifer, with more artists to be announced. The Aug. 14-18 cruise will depart from and return to the port of Athens, Greece, making stops in Kusadasi, Turkey, and Mykonos, Grecce, with a full day at sea in-between.
Setting foot on European shores for the first time, Sixthman partnered with ICS Festival Service “for the technical implementation,” as the press release states.

ICS are the producers of the legendary Wacken Open Air festival and other heavy metal themed events, including a cruise as well, the Full Metal Cruise.

One of the most popular aspects of ICS’s own Full Metal Cruise is the open bar, as unlimited beer is included in the ticket price. Sixthman is holding on to this idea, offering what it describes as “a luxurious all-round service including a premium beverage package.”
The ship has a capacity of 2,400. Tickets are on sale at hammership.com. The first 250 ticketbuyers will receive an special early bird package.
“We could not be more fired up to serve the international metal community Hammership, a vacation at sea that will truly blow fans minds!,” Anthony Diaz, CEO of Sixthman, commented, adding, “Together with ICS Festival Service GmbH, leaders in heavy metal live events and destination festivals, the iconic artist line-up and the incredible ‘venue’ of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Jade cruise ship which is perfectly suited for music festivals at sea, I have no doubt this will be a metal vacation not to be missed year after year!”
Tom Küppers of ICS Festival Service said, “We are delighted to be allowed to support Sixthman in this project and thus to be active in new markets and ships.”
