Chris Rock Announces North American Dates For ‘Ego Death World Tour’

Rock shared a tweet describing the tour as featuring all new material and being “introspective, very personal and very funny.” He added, “Can’t wait to show you.” 

The “Ego Death World Tour” launches April 2 in Atlantic City, N.J., with two shows at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. Stops on the routing include Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, Denver’s Bellco Theatre, the Fox Theatre Detroit, Las Vegas’ The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, New York’s Radio City Music Hall and Seattle’s Paramount Theatre. The last gig on the schedule is Nov. 17th at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.

Last year Rock released the standup special “Total Blackout: The Tamborine Extended Cut,” a remix of his 2018 special. A review from Decider.com declares, “There’s 30 more minutes of material here, and it’s all gold.” The special is currently streaming on Netflix. 

Boxoffice reports for Rock submitted to Pollstar include two shows at London’s The O2 in January 2018 that sold a total of 30,239 tickets and grossed more than $1.4 million (1,053,936 in pounds).  Most recently, he played a Jan. 5, 2019, show at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., that sold 4,515 tickets and grossed $450,161.

Ticket presales for the “Ego Death World Tour” begin Thursday, Feb. 24, followed by the general onsale on Friday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. local time.
