Festivals, Livestreaming, Venues & Wasserman: ILMC 34 Unveils Speakers & Sessions

ILMC will go down for the 34th time in London, April 26-29. Organizers have unveiled the program for this year’s edition.

ILMC head Greg Parmley recently told Pollstar, that there was more to talk about than ever before, and this year’s conference program mirrors that.

Casey Wasserman will be one of this year’s keynote speakers. The chairman and CEO of leading sports, music and culture agency Wasserman will be put “In The Hot Seat” at this year’s ILMC, April 27, to give his view on the live music industry’s pathway to recovery and predictions on how live entertainment will evolve over the coming years.

April 27

Festival Forum: New lands, new adventures – with Stephan Thanscheidt (FKP Scorpio, Germany) and Marta Pallarès (Primavera Sound, Spain), who join chair Alice Hogg (ATC Live, UK).

Livestreaming: On trial – with Estelle Wilkinson (Eleven Management, UK), who will put livestreaming in the dock with the help of Ric Salmon (Driift, UK) and Grazia Tribulato (LIVENow, UK).

Industry Representation: People power – with chair Anita Debaere (Pearle*, BE), who will discuss the need for a united global industry voice with Christof Huber (Yourope, CH), Annabella Coldrick (MMF/EMMA, UK), Rev. Moose (National Independent Venue Foundation, US), Victoria Matthews (European Arena Association), and Tone Østerdal (Norwegian Live Music Association).

Venues Venue: Reconnect & open – chair Olivier Toth (European Arenas Association), Marie Lundquist (ASM Global), Alex Bruford (ATC Live, UK), Herman Schueremans (Live Nation Belgium), Jolanda Jansen (Rotterdam Ahoy, NL), and Production Manager and Gaffer Award 2022 winner Phay Mac Mahon look at reviving consumer confidence.

Ticketing: All change please! – with speakers Amy Oldham (DICE, UK), James Fleury (TicketSwap, NL), Sarah Slater (Ticketmaster, UK), Marcia Titley (Eventim Norway & Sweden), and session chair Richard Howle (NEC Group, UK).

New Builds: The venue boom – chaired by Stephanie Bax (CAA Icon, UK), who welcomes a speaker line up including Tom Lynch (ASM Global, UK), Brian Kabatznick (Oak View Group, UK), John Rhodes (HOK, UK), Guy Dunstan (NEC Group, UK), and Detlef Kornett (DEAG, DE).

New bosses: Class of 2022 – fast-rising execs Anna Parry (The O2, UK), Age Versluis (Friendly Fire, NL), Flo Noseda (Paradigm, UK), Tessie Lammle (UTA, US), and Théo Quiblier (Two Gentlemen, CH) discuss the future of the industry in a panel chaired by Lisa Henderson (IQ Magazine, UK).
