Cam Announces ‘The Otherside Tour’
Cam is finally getting a chance to show off tunes from her third studio album in a live setting. The Grammy-nominated country singer has announced dates for “The Otherside Tour,” which she calls the “most intentional show I’ve created in my career.”
The Otherside – which features songwriting collaborations from Jack Antonoff, Sam Smith and Harry Styles, as well as the late Avicii – was released in October 2020 as the follow-up to 2015’s Untamed. Her sophomore album featured her breakthrough hit“ Burning House,” which was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance.
The 21-city “The Otherside Tour” begins July 28 at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland, Ore. Stops on the routing include San Francisco’s The Fillmore, Los Angeles’ Regent Theatre, Las Vegas’ Club Madrid, Minneapolis’ First Avenue, House Of Blues Chicago, Austin’s Scott Inn and D.C.’s 9:30 Club. The last show is booked Oct. 24 at New York’s Webster Hall. Cam will be joined on select dates by special guests Amythyst Kiah and Jillian Jacqueline.
“This tour is deconstructing things to pure emotions,” says Cam about the tour. “It’s about taking things apart, and examining the pieces in a really pure form. It’s the most intentional show I’ve created in my career and a really high bar I’ve set for myself and the musicians. God, I miss those faces in front of me. I can’t tell you how much I need this time with my kind of people. There’s no place I’d rather be – singing, laughing, processing and marching on together.”
Ticket presales are ongoing now and the general public starts Friday, May 13th at 10 a.m. local time.
VIP packages are available featuring a chance to hang out with Cam. She explains, “It’s an ask me anything discussion, and nothing is off limits. We deserve a space to really connect with each other. I want to get real. I really crave that. I want to feel what you’re feeling and get back on the same page as each other.”
Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Cam include an Oct. 9, 2021, show supporting Eric Church at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center that sold 16,192 tickets and grossed $1,559,320.
