Live music powerhouse TEG has launched TEG Europe on July 26, amalgamating its UK-based live entertainment, ticketing, venue, digital and data operations based out of Bristol and London.

TEG is headquartered in Sydney, Australia, with further offices in the US, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and the Philippines.

The business entered the UK and European markets on August 2019 when it acquired tour and venue operator MJR Group and now stages 2,000 shows annually in the UK and Europe.

Its ticketing business Ticketek, which shifts 30 million tickets annually in 300 venues in 15 countries, was introduced there a year later.

Through its data science and analytics business Ovation, TEG provides sports organizations, venues, promoters, content creators, media and tech partners with analytics, data science, research, personalization and advanced digital marketing.

TEG Europe also consists of the former TEG MJR’s touring business; TEG Venues which includes 10 including Tramshed in Cardiff, XOYO in London and The Mill in Birmingham; and indie rock club brand Propaganda.

“Today’s news represents a crucial milestone in the expansion of TEG’s successful integrated live entertainment model into the vibrant UK market and positions us for further growth across Europe,” CEO Geoff Jones said.

“TEG has long track record of touring success in concerts, sport, festivals, theatre, musicals, exhibitions, family entertainment, comedy, and e-sports, while Ticketek has 40+ years’ experience ticketing major international events and partnering with the world’s premier venues.”

He added: “By combining these businesses into a single customer focused operation, we are well positioned to work with new and existing industry partners in the UK and Europe to help grow their businesses while continuing our own growth in the region.”

In early July, Ticketek was named ticketing business of the year at the Ticketing Business Forum international awards in Manchester, and collected the insights & analytics award for Ovation’s partnership with Cricket Australia.

Ticketek’s managing director Cameron Hoy also reported its recently rolled-out personalized marketing platform, which creates a single customer view of the 30 million+ customers in its database across multiple marketing channels, already delivered a 3.1x increase in sales conversions from Ticketek’s weekly email newsletter and a 22% increase in average organic marketing campaign ticket sales.
