Impact NextGen: Andile Ndlovu
ANDILE NDLOVU
Senior Artist Manager
Electric Feel Entertainment
During 2020 and 2021 the uber-catchy single “Mood” by 24kGoldn featuring iann dior was everywhere, topping charts around the globe. Andile Ndlovu managed both artists as “Mood” climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 and reigned for eight non-consecutive weeks. The song spent 52 weeks on the Hot 100 chart and has been certified 6X Platinum by the RIAA.
Asked about highlights of her career, Ndlovu points to Electric Feel’s teamwork during the time, which led to performances on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” and “AMAs,” along with multiple award show nominations.
“Working with iann dior for the last few years and seeing his growth and development into the mainstream through music, fashion and web3 has been incredible,” Ndlovu says of her client who has been busy supporting Machine Gun Kelly’s “Mainstream Sellout” world arena tour. “It’s been amazing to watch iann play sold out arenas and bring his fans such an exciting show, a huge milestone moment for him.”
Ndlovu – who now manages dior and producer Vron (who has worked with Alicia Keys and UMI) – played percussion at a young age and interned for a local radio DJ while in high school. The 31-year-old immigrant from Zimbabwe started her own production company during college, throwing concerts, raves and promoter parties. She’s spent six years in the music biz after initially working in tech startups.
Ndlovu points to the South African philosophy of Ubuntu – which stems from the phrase umuntu ngumuntu ngabantu, translating to “a person is a person through persons” – as her personal key to success. Ndlovu gives back by serving as a member of various industry organizations, including Women In Music, Femme It Forward, We are RISE and Napgirls, which advocate professional growth for women and BIPOC.
“As a woman of color visibility is important for creating more opportunities for women and BIPOC,” Ndlovu says. “Tech is a huge passion of mine and it’s also underrepresented with women of color so I look forward to continuing to bring opportunity and combine both of my passions.”
