Mariah Carey Celebrates The Holidays With Pair Of ‘Merry Christmas To All’ Concerts
With the holidays soon approaching, Mariah Carey is kicking into high gear with the announcement of a pair of shows celebrating all her holiday classics. The first night will see Carey taking the stage at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on Dec. 11, while Dec. 13 will see her heading to New York City’s Madison Square Garden, with both nights produced by Live Nation.
The two shows will be Carey’s only concerts this holiday season, and fans who purchase tickets also have the opportunity to buy a copy of her illustrated holiday book, “The Christmas Princess,” and exclusive merchandise.
The last time Carey performed at Madison Square Garden took place on Dec. 15, 2019, with the singer selling out the venue and grossing $1.3 million. In early 2020, she performed a residency at The Colosseum At Caesars Palace in Las Vegason Feb. 14 and 15, grossing a total $1.1 million, and three shows from Feb. 19-22 grossing $1.19 million, then another three shows from Feb. 26-29 grossing a total $1.2 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice.
In 2019, Carey re-released her iconic Merry Christmas album in celebration of its 25th anniversary. Last year saw her hit single “All I Want for Christmas Is You” become the first holiday single to be certified Diamond. Over the past two years, Carey celebrated the holidays with Apple TV+ holiday specials, 2020’s “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special” and 2021’s “Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues.”
Tickets for both shows will go on sale Oct. 28 at 10 a.m. ET via Ticketmaster.
