ASM Global Plans Largest Job Fair In Live Entertainment History

Barclays Center is one of more than 100 venues that take part in the largest job fair in live entertainment history.
ASM Global today announced plans to hire 1,000 employees in 100 of the world’s leading venues to facilitate the return of live performances.
Scheduled Feb. 15-17, and dubbed ‘ASM Global Presents: The Next Great Opportunity,” the live entertainment giant promises “an unprecedented three-day international ‘collaborative job fair’ encompassing four continents internationally.” According to the press announcement, the plans for this unprecedented job fair have been six months in the making.
The coronavirus crisis has left many companies in a variety of industries short of staff, live entertainment buildings have been among those affected the worst. “ASM Global leadership hopes that the unique global search will surface diverse talent and expand the company’s reach within its local communities and herald the return to the live entertainment experience stilled by the COVID pandemic,” the announcement continues.
A selection of stadiums, convention centers, theaters and arenas participating worldwide can be found below. They participating buildings host more than 160 million guests annually.

“ASM Global Presents: The Next Great Opportunity” will enable venues to fill a wide range of roles “from hourly to salaried levels with highly skilled and diverse candidates,” the press release states.
Jobs include almost every aspect of the live entertainment value chain, including operations, business development, finance, food and beverage, human resources, sales, marketing, booking, security, guest services, audio visual tech, catering, and more.
The venues in the U.S., Canada and Latin America are scheduled to host the job fair Feb. 15-16, the United Kingdom and APAC will welcome visitors Feb. 16-17.
