AEG Presents is bringing together a diverse group of artists for an outdoor concert series called Re:SET, which will play in 12 U.S. cities across four regions and features headliners LCD Soundsystem, boygenius and Steve Lacy.

The event, described as an “innovative concert series” that creates a “localized experience for fans,” is a reimagining of the summer festival experience, which usually takes place in one location and can be an all-day or weekend-long concert. Re:SET takes place over four weekends in June with each artist playing in a specific area. They will then change venues the following day to perform in another city and do the same on Sunday.

The first weekend of concerts will be on West Coast with the artists playing in the Bay Area, San Diego and Pasadena, California. The second set of shows will be in New Orleans, Atlanta and Dallas, and the third round of shows take place New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C. The final weekend will be in Nashville, Chicago and Columbus, Ohio.

Each headliner will have a supporting act at their respective shows. The supergroup boygenius, comprising Julien Baker, Phoebe Bridgers and Lucy Dacus, will have Clairo, Dijon and Bartees Strange performing, and LCD Soundsystem’s concerts will have Jamie xx, U.K. rock and Idles, Big Freedia, L’Rain and more artists yet to be announced. Lacy’s show will feature James Blake, Toro y Moi and Fousheé.

According to an AEG Presents release, the new take on the summer concert series “was conceived as an artist and fan-friendly alternative to the standard” experience that can give fans full sets from each act and “provides artists a respite from the cookie-cutter summer itinerary of sheds and amphitheaters.”

“We challenged ourselves to conceive an event that would give both the artists and the fans a different experience,” Gary Gersh, president of global touring and talent at AEG Presents, said in a statement. “At the end of the day, they both want the same thing: great locations, incredible sound, fantastic sightlines, and the best local options for food and drinks. Re:SET is a very fairly priced, artist-driven weekend where you can hang with friends and enjoy an evening of amazing music.”
