A partnership brokered by AEG Global Partnerships sees CU London Greenwich, part of the Coventry University Group, become The O2’s official Higher Education Partner.

“The year-long partnership will raise awareness of the CU London Greenwich campus and variety of courses amongst The O2’s visitors and workforce,” according to a press release.

The campus of CU London Greenwich is located right next to the iconic venue. Through this partnership it aims to maximize engagement and participation at the campus, and provide O2 visitors an opportunity to learn more about its courses.

With no-end-of-year exams, and the majority of courses having six start dates, CU London Greenwich wants to offer prospective students maximum flexibility, even if they are already working a part-time job or have family responsibilities. It also highlights its “competitive pricing.”

The year-long partnership also includes promotional rights across The O2’s “out of home networks” as well as in-venue activation, allowing the university to speak to concertgoers, diners and shoppers visiting The O2.

O2 employees will be able “to benefit from opportunities for direct engagement with the CU London Greenwich course ambassadors via staff briefings, site tours and unique offers specific to them,” according to the press release.

Scott Adams, senior sales manager at the O2 for AEG Europe, who was instrumental in securing this partnership, is a Coventry University Group alumni.

Nathan Kosky, vice president for Europe at AEG Global Partnerships, said, “We’re so pleased to be welcoming CU London Greenwich, as part of the Coventry University Group, to The O2 as an official partner for 2023. The breadth of their courses is something that we know will hugely appeal to our visitors, as well as our workforce, which already features proud alumni from Coventry University Group such as our very own Scott Adams, who led on securing this partnership. We’re looking forward to working closely with the CU London team this year and are proud to be able to support this local campus as part of a purpose-driven partnership which drives awareness and promotes educational opportunities.”

Andy Ginn, associate pro vice chancellor at CU London, added, “We’re delighted to be teaming up with The O2, and are excited to be hugely expanding our employer, community, and sector engagement opportunities. Our extensive professional development short course offer, our seven-day-a-week campus availability and full-time undergraduate degree courses typically comprising two days a week attendance at the North Greenwich campus, are ideally positioned to cater for The O2’s incredibly diverse range of customers, workforce, and stakeholders.”
