KISS are reaching the “End Of The Road,” as the band unveils their final tour dates wrapping with two nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Dec. 1 and 2.

After first announcing their retirement 23 years ago, KISS plans to bring their 50-year career to an end at the same place where it all started.

“KISS was born in New York City. On 23rd Street. Half a century ago,” the band said in a statement. “It will be a privilege and honor to finish touring at Madison Square Garden, 10 blocks and 50 years from where we first started.”

Ahead of the fall dates that feature KISS making their final go around North America, KISS will celebrate one last hurrah through Europe with shows in London, Manchester, Glasgow and more through June and July.

The North American leg kicks off at Austin’s Moody Center on Oct. 31, then continues on with dates at the Hollywood Bowl, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena, Vancouver’s Rogers Arena, Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena and more before the final two shows at the Garden.

The band always planned to wrap up their career in New York. Nothing else seemed more fitting to KISS, who were born in Queens, New York. However, the “End of the Road” was expected to come to pass on July 17, 2021. Of course, one major world event prevented that from happening as planned.

The band appeared on the cover of Pollstar back in pre-pandemic 2020 to share their thoughts on retirement. Gene Simmons, at 70 years old, knew that he wanted to go out on top. And while the farewell tour has stretched on endlessly, their agent, CAA’s Mitch Rose, explained to Pollstar that the multi-year farewell tour was because they wanted to hit every market.

“I think the interesting thing about farewell tours is people see they are still on the road two years later since there’s a lot of cities in the world and you can’t do them in one year,” he said in 2020.

KISS Army members have access to presale tickets starting March 6 at 10 a.m. local time. Additional presales will be made throughout the week, with general onsale starting March 10 at 10 a.m. local time.
