Glastonbury organizers announced in December that Elton John would headline June 25, the final night of the festival as part of his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.”

The festival tweeted: “We are incredibly excited to announce that the one and only @EltonOfficial will headline the Pyramid Stage on Sunday night at Glastonbury 2023, for what will be the final U.K. show of his last ever tour.”

Glastonbury founder / organizer Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily Eavis, co-organizer of the festival, graced the cover of Pollstar in Feburary 2020 in honor of the event’s 50th anniversary. Of course, the festival along with most other live performances, were called off that year because of the pandemic. Worthy Farm finally welcomed back festivalgoers in June 2022, with a lineup featuring 3,000 performers, topped by Billie Eilish, Diana Ross, Kendrick Lamar and Paul McCartney.
