Netflix Is A Joke is returning in Los Angeles from May 2 to May 12, 2024. The announcement came during the “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage” pre-show.

Last year’s festival in April sold over 260,000 tickets over the course of 12 days, with 295 shows and 336 comedians across 35 venues in Los Angeles. Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias became the first solo comedian to headline Dodger Stadium, with other comedian appearances throughout the festival including Dave Chappelle, John Mulaney, Wanda Sykes, Bill Burr, Tim Robinson, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, Cobra Kai, Seth Rogen and more.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey’s set at YouTube Theater during the festival sold 4,410 tickets grossing $509,826, according to reports submitted to Pollstar‘s Boxoffice. 85 South Live Comedy Tour also stopped at YouTube Theater during last year’s Netflix Is A Joke festival, grossing $127,310.

Netflix first announced the festival back in March 2020, inevitably postponing the event until last year. In Pollstar‘s 2022 comedy special issue, Gabriel Iglesias graced the cover in celebration of his show at Dodger Stadium and the new “Golden Era” of comedy. Iglesias performed two nights at the ballpark, a sold-out show on May 7 with regular seating, and a more intimate set on May 6, “Fluffy On The Field.” The shows grossed nearly $3.6 million.
