ASM Global Partners With London Stadium
ASM Global and London Stadium have partnered on content for those days when local soccer club West Ham United isn’t using the pitch.
The stadium is part of the legacy of the London Olympics 2012. It marks the first stadium partnership of its kind by ASM Global in the UK. It will “see ASM Global work collaboratively to support the program of wide-ranging event content,” according to the press release announcing the partnership.
London Stadium has a 60,000 seated capacity when hosting soccer matches, and an 80,000 capacity for concerts, making it the second largest stadium for concerts in the UK capital. It has welcomed Beyonce, The Rolling Stones, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Guns N’ Roses and many more in the past.
Aside from becoming West Ham United’s home turf, it has hosted major world sporting events such as the 2015 Rugby World Cup and the London 2017 World Athletics Championships, with the return of Major League Baseball this summer as part of a multi-year deal with the MLB that followed the success of the 2019 London Series.
London Stadium joins ASM Global’s network of more than 350 venues worldwide, and another space to host one of its 20,000 events and 165 million guests annually. Other iconic stadia in ASM Global’s portfolio include Allegiant Stadium (Las Vegas), Caesars Superdome (New Orleans), U.S. Bank Stadium (Minneapolis), NRG Park (Houston) and Friends Arena (Stockholm).
