Lizzo & SZA To Headline Made In America Festival
Made In America returns to Philadelphia on Labor Day Weekend, and this year’s festival features Lizzo and SZA as headliners.
The event will once again take place at Benjamin Franklin Parkway, with further acts including Miguel, Tems, Metro Boomin, Ice Spice, Coi Leray, Latto, Lil Yachty and more. Mase and Cam’ron are also joining forces for a special joint set.
The Cause Village will be returning once again this year with a focus on causes ranging from education, voter registration, animal welfare, LGBTQIA+ rights, arts & culture, social justice, mental health and more.
The North American leg of SZA’s recent tour supporting her sophomore album, SOS, featured numerous sell-outs across the country. Highlights included a $2.03 million gross at American Airlines Center in Dallas on March 10, $2.23 million at Climate Change Arena in Seattle on March 16, two sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden grossing a total $3.36 million on March 3 and 4 and two sold-out shows at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, grossing a total $3.86 million on March 22 and 23, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. SZA’s team spoke with Pollstar ahead of the outing to discuss the “SOS Tour.” The singer is currently trekking through Europe.
Lizzo has currently been touring North America, with recent dates in San Diego (grossing $1.09 million), Phoenix (grossing $1.32 million), Chicago (grossing $1.55 million) and more, , according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
