Greensky Bluegrass Announces Fall Tour
Nothing but green skies ahead. Of course, we’re talking about Greensky Bluegrass. The quintet has just unveiled the routing for a U.S. fall tour that features special guests The Infamous Stringdusters and Lindsay Lou on select dates.
Greensky Bluegrass’ previously announced summer plans are booked from early August through mid- September, wrapping with two nights at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, Sept. 15-16.
The fall tour is concentrated in November, with the exception of one headline date in October – Avondale Brewing Company in Birmingham, Alabama, Oct. 6 – to go along with festival appearances at 3 Sisters Festival of Bluegrass in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Riverfront Reviva in Charleston, South Carolina.
Stops on the fall run include Los Angeles’ new Bellwether, Oklahoma City’s Tower Theatre, Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater, Dallas’ Ferris Wheelers Backyard & BBQ, and Memphis’ Minglewood Hall. The last gig is Nov. 18 at The Joy Theatre in New Orleans.
As an announcement from the group’s team notes, Greensky is known “for their thoughtful lyricism, edgy and genre-expansive sound, dazzling live performances and relentless touring schedule.” The band, which formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2000, features Anders Beck on dobro, Michael Arlen Bont on banjo, Dave Bruzza on guitar, Mike Devol on upright bass and Paul Hoffman on Mandolin. The group’s most recent album, Stress Dreams, was released in January 2022, via Thirty Tigers/Big Blue Zoo Records.
“Greensky is and always has been very unique in our world,” Hoffman said in a statement. “We put our love, energy, and focus into what we appreciate about our music. We come together as a band in a way that’s organic. We take a lot of pride in how we grow and challenge each other too. We’re maturing together. I think we get more Greensky all of the time.”
Based on 281 headline reports submitted to Pollstar since 2005, Greensky Bluegrass has an average gross of $49,918 and an average of 1,544 tickets sold per show.
