Carly Pearce Announces ‘Country Music Made Me Do It Tour’
Carly Pearce has a new song out Friday and a fall headline tour to go along with it. Both are called “Country Music Made Me Do It.” The announcement follows the recent news that she’ll join Tim McGraw as direct support on his 2024 “Standing Room Only Tour” in March.
The new tune, released via Big Machine Records, is described as “an upbeat, cheeky love letter to the genre [that] chronicles Pearce’s long standing relationship to country music and the impact it has had on her life.”
The tour begins Oct. 5 at The Town Hall in New York City. Stops include Boston’s House Of Blues, St. Louis’ Stifel Theatre and Los Angeles’ The Wiltern. The last gig of the headline run is Detroit’s The Fillmore.
Pearce is supported by Adam Doleac and Hannah Ellis on select dates.
Following a presale from the Carly Pearce Official Fan Club, tickets go on sale to the general public Friday, Aug. 11 at 10 a.m. local time.
Pearce recently received a RIAA Platinum certification for her No. 1 hit “Never Wanted To Be That Girl” with Ashley McBryde. Earlier this year Peace and McBryde won the Grammy for their collaboration with the award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance – marking the first time two women had won in that category. The song was also awarded the CMA Musical Event of the Year and 2022 ACM Music Event of the Year.
Last month Pearce released the single “We Don’t Fight Anymore” featuring Chris Stapleton.
Box office reports submitted to Pollstar for Pearce include an April 21 show at the Event Center At Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona, New York, that sold 2,062 tickets and grossed $88,758.
