Hombres G, whose name was inspired by the 1935 James Cagney film “G Men,” hails from Madrid, Spain. Formed in 1982, the band came out of the gates with “Devuelveme A Mi Chica,” a catchy pop rock tune that went on to become an ’80s anthem and was featured on their self-titled debut album in 1985. They have gone on to sell nearly 6 million tickets and play more than 4,000 stages across the globe.
The Spanish band played in the U.S. last year, including a sold-out show at FTX Arena (now known as Kaseya Center) in Miami on June 25 that grossed $657,604 off 8,507 tickets. Hombres G has had 96 headline reports submitted to the Pollstar Boxoffice since Nov. 8, 2006, and the band has grossed nearly $26.8 million and sold 634,801 tickets.
