Sonic Temple Fest Topped By Disturbed, The Original Misfits, Pantera, Slipknot
Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival returns May 16-19 at Historic Crew Stadium in Columbus, Ohio, with an added fourth stage of music and 40 additional bands on this year’s lineup.
Along with headliners Disturbed, The Original Misfits, Pantera and Slipknot, the lineup features additional rock and metal mainstays including Evanescence, Limp Bizkit, Judas Priest, Staind, Breaking Benjamin, Sleep Token and many others, making for 120 bands total at the venerable music festival produced by Danny Wimmer Presents.
Passes go on sale Friday, Dec. 8, with payment plans available. Festival-goers can partake in a camping experience with RV camping adjacent to the venue parking lot, which the announcement says offers quickest access to music stages and comes with other perks. Campgrounds are open Wednesday, May 15 through Monday, May 20, with passes limited. Hotel bundles are available for fans as well.
Sonic Temple returned post-COVID in 2023, topped by Foo Fighters, Tool, KISS, and many others, with DWP execs telling Pollstar the event drew around 130,000 total attendees over its four days.
In the announcement, Disturbed frontman David Draiman is quoted saying, “We can’t wait to be back headlining Sonic Temple once again. Playing in front of all those rock fans at Historic Crew Stadium in Ohio has always been an amazing time for us.”
DWP chief marketing officer Chamie McCurry notes the event’s growth without raising ticket prices, while offering art installations, curated food and beverage and other first-class experiential elements.
