Kraftwerk Heads To Walt Disney Concert Hall For 9-Show Residency
German electro-pioneers Kraftwerk and The Los Angeles Philharmonic announced a series of performances at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. The nine shows, taking place from May 21-30, celebrate the 50th anniversary of their album, Autobahn, which went on to influence electronic music as a whole.
Throughout each night of the residency, Kraftwerk will perform one of their albums, including Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) and Tour de France (2003), in full. Additionally, they will perform other compositions from throughout their catalog across the nine nights. The finale includes a selection of works across their entire catalog.
Last year, Kraftwerk performed at Teatro Real in Madrid, grossing $95,396 for their show on July 27, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. Their show at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, on June 29 grossed $271,020, while their May 30 show at Pepsi Center WTC in Mexico City grossed $413,190.
Kraftwerk is represented by Creative Artists Agency.
Tickets go on sale starting Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. PT, and can be purchased online at laphil.com, by phone at 323-850-2000 or in-person at the Walt Disney Concert Hall box office.
