CAA Promotes Six To Agent/Executive
CAA has announced a round of promotions with Sebastian Brogan upped to agent and five other staff members – Olivia Brooks, Kaitlin Gascoyne, Ross Lee, Jeff Lynds, and Jenna Powell – promoted to the role of executive.
Brogan, who is based in New York, was promoted to agent in Basketball. After starting his career at CAA as a mailroom clerk in 2016 he served as an assistant to Lloyd Frischer and Tyeke Sullivan in Basketball before being accepted to CAA’s Elevate training and practical development curriculum program in 2021.
Brooks, who is based in the Los Angeles office and started her career at CAA in 2018, has been promoted to Executive in the CAA Foundation. An announcement from CAA notes that her new role will see Brooks “head internal initiatives to increase global employee engagement, in addition to advising many of the world’s leading fashion designers, models, and digital talent on their unique philanthropic goals.”
Gascoyne, who is based in Texas and has been with CAA Sports since 2018, has been promoted to Executive in Basketball. After serving as an intern in Basketball, she served as an assistant to Jessica Holtz in 2019 before being accepted into Elevate in 2021, and then promoted to Basketball Marketing Professional.
Lee, who is based in New York and started at CAA in 2017, was promoted to Executive in Global Client Strategy. CAA says Lee “will focus on helping launch scalable, commercial businesses for sports clients, as well as traditional talent across the agency.” He most recently served as a Global Client Strategy Coordinator after serving as an assistant to CAA Sports CFO Frank Moore and Global Client Strategy Head Toby Borg. Lee, who was accepted into Elevate last year, got his start at CAA as a mailroom clerk.
Lynds, who is based in New York, was promoted to Executive in Basketball. In his new role Lynds “will continue to identify and execute marketing opportunities for the agency’s Basketball clients.” He started at CAA as an intern in 2008 and after holding positions at Arete Sports Agency and Independence Mission Schools he returned to CAA Sports as a Basketball Marketing Professional in 2021.
Powell, who is based in Nashville, has been promoted to Executive in Corporate Communications and will “continue to focus on building out communications initiatives and media relations for CAA’s Music Touring, Digital Media, Theatre, and Gaming divisions.” She joined CAA in 2018 as an Assistant to Chief Communications Officer Michael Mand and was named Coordinator in 2019, before being promoted to Communications Manager in 2020.
Looking at the top 10 artists on Pollstar’s 2023 Year End Worldwide Tours chart, CAA is responsible for booking four of the acts: Beyoncé (grossing $579.8 million), Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band ($402.2 million) along with BPB Consulting, Harry Styles ($290.5 million) and The Weeknd (nearly $221 million).
CAA’s music roster also includes Bob Dylan, Eagles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, blink-182, John Mayer, Grupo Firme, Iron Maiden, Lionel Richie and Carrie Underwood among many others.
