Sting, Incubus, My Morning Jacket Top BeachLife Festival 2024
The beachside smash known as BeachLife music festival returns to Redondo Beach in Los Angeles May 3-5, with a music lineup topped by Sting, Incubus and My Morning Jacket.
The event, now in its fifth year at the waterfront, will also feature DEVO, Dirty Heads, Trey Anastasio + Classic TAB, ZZ Top, Seal, Local Natives, Fleet Foxes, Santigold and more.
Tickets, including single-day options, are available now, with the festival’s social media channels recently sharing that ticket prices will be displayed “all in,” with no additional fees upon checkout. Single-day tickets start at $159, which additional options for re-entry, as well as packages offering a variety of VIP, private cabana suites, boat mornings and more.
Returning as the only artist to play BeachLife each time is ‘90s hit-makers Sugar Ray, fronted by Mark McGrath, whose “Brunch With Sugar Ray’ daytime set continues to grow and lead to a packed crowd and standing ovations from eager millennials.
The event is a mix of family-friendly community event and upscale experience, offering locals easy re-entry and affordable single-day passes while super-serving those interested in VIP or looking to make a trip out of the famous Los Angeles beach setting while seeing a favorite artist.
“The reason we sell out is we don’t want to have that type of festival where everybody’s crammed and uncomfortable with 30-minute lines, that’s just not our thing down at the beach,” Sanford, who is heavily involved in booking the lineup, told Pollstar previously. “11,000 (capacity) is our self-imposed sellout. We think that’s a really comfortable level. It was crowded enough for people to feel community but loose enough where kids were still running around and people were still enjoying themselves.”
The event, which has previously taken place at 11,000 capacity and with two main stages, has a strong culinary element, with founder and producer Allen Sanford being a local restaurateur. Offerings include the DAOU SideStage dining experience located on stage and curated by award-winning chefs.
Last year’s BeachLife was topped by Gwen Stefani, The Black Keys and The Black Crowes, while in September the sister event BeachLife Ranch again took place at the same site, topped by Jack Johnson, Doobie Brothers and Brad Paisley.
