88rising’s annual Head In The Clouds festival returns to Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York, on May 11 and 12. Partering with The Bowery Presents, this year’s festival features performances by Joji, Illenium back-to-back with Dabin, eyedness, ATARASHII GAKKO!, BIBI and more.

“We are proud to partner with 88rising’s Head In The Clouds New York Music & Arts Festival – a wonderful event that celebrates our city’s vibrant Asian community through music, art and cuisine at the spectacular Forest Hills stadium,” Fred Dixon, President and CEO of New York City Tourism and Conventions, said in a statement. “We encourage locals and visitors alike to experience the exciting line-up of music and activity, and for those looking to explore further, we invite you to visit The Asian Experience in New York City for inspiration.”

Last year marked the festival’s inaugural edition in New York City, 88rising expanding their flagship Los Angeles event to the city. Despite raining on the first day, the festival proved to be a success, celebrating every aspect of Asian culture with their multi-genre event. The festival was also a homecoming for the company, which was originally founded in New York City in 2015.

“The intention of the festival has always been to showcase the breadth of Asian music and artists around the world,” 88rising’s Chief of Staff, Ollie Zhang, told Pollstar last year. “Whether that’s dance music or singer-songwriters, R&B or hip-hop, pop and K-pop. It was really about not only building the community in the front-facing fan experience, but behind the stage. Where artists from around the world are able to gather together in such a unique setting they aren’t able to find in any other festival around the world.

The brand has also gone global in recent years, with Head In The Clouds expanding to Jakarta, Manila and China.

Once again, Head In The Clouds New York partners with nonprofit organization Heart of Dinner, which addresses food insecurity, social isolation and loneliness among Asian American older adults living in under-resourced communities. A portion of all ticket sales will go towards Heart of Diner. Johnnie Walker Blended Scotch Whisky will also be returning as the festival spirits partner, providing signature festival cocktails to attendees.

Presale registration runs through Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET, with festival pass presale starting Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. ET. General on sale begins Feb. 12 at 10 a.m. ET.
