Nederlander Concerts Partners With Sacramento Venue The Backyard

Nederlander Concerts has announced its partnership with Sacramento, California’s latest outdoor venue, The Backyard, where the company will serve as the venue’s exclusive booking agent, producer and promoter.

The Backyard’s capacity hits 3,500 fans and includes flexible general admission, seated configurations and an open-air experience. The venue also includes on-site parking.

“Nederlander Concerts is excited to partner with The Backyard,” Rena Wasserman, Senior Vice President of Production nd Operations for Nederlander Concerts, said in a statement. “We’ve worked extensively in Sacramento and have a history of successfully appealing to the local residents with a diverse roster of talent. That, along with The Backyard’s ideal location behind Rock & Brews, make it a great venue for the shows we have planned.”

The venue’s inaugural season includes the Sad Summer Festival featuring performances by Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Wonder Years, We The Kings and more. Los Lobos and Los Lonely Boys will play the venue on Aug. 9, while Julieta Venegas performs on Sept. 20.
