2024 Women of Live: Cheryl Paglierani
Partner & Music Agent | UTA
Cheryl Paglierani’s resume boasts major agencies including WME and CAA before landing at UTA in 2016, where she works with major clients including Post Malone, 21 Savage, Dominic Fike, Jessie Murph and more.
She got her start with Hall of Famer Cara Lewis in 2008, and she gives credit to her many mentors.
“I’ve had so many incredible mentors who have taught me the importance of relationships,” Paglierani tells Pollstar. “I always tell those coming up under me the best thing they can do is build good connections. We all experience ups and downs in our careers, and having dependable allies who speak highly of you and are willing to lend a helping hand is critical to building a business.”
In February client 21 Savage announced a 30-date North American tour called “American Dream,” that starts May 1 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, with shows in arenas and amphitheaters across North America. Paglierani points to the London-born rapper’s Nov. 30 headline show at The O2 as the best show she attended in the last year: “After being unable to travel internationally throughout his career, being able to see him return home to London for the first time and have such an incredible homecoming show was one of the most special moments I’ve been a part of.”
While speaking with Music Business Worldwide in 2022, Paglierani says the secret to an artist’s success is focusing on longevity. With so much competition and the pressure to strike while the iron is hot, she emphasizes the need for development and organically growing a fanbase.
Since 2022, Paglierani has talked about her client Post Malone’s future in country music. The multi-hyphenate artist often dabbles in a variety of genres, performing songs by Nirvana and Bob Dylan, and his collab with Luke Combs and his upcoming performance at Stagecoach offers tantalizing opportunities.
“Very excited for Jessie Murph’s upcoming headline tour and 21 Savage’s ‘American Dream’ tour that will both be out this spring,” Paglierani says. “Very much looking forward to Dominic Fike’s sets at Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo and Gov Ball, plus seeing Post Malone perform an epic set of country covers at Stagecoach!”
