Post Malone, J Balvin, Nas, Jonas Brothers, Killer Mike, The Offspring, Zac Brown Band, 50 Cent and Nickelback are among the headliners announced for 2024’s Festival D’été de Québec (FEQ), which runs July 4-14 in Canada’s Quebec City.

The 11-day festival, which Pollstar last year called “the best festival you’ve probably never heard of,” has also announced a slew of critically and commercially acclaimed acts including Fleet Foxes, Future Islands, Hurray For the Riff Raff, Carly Rae Jepsen, Mötley Crüe, Ava Joy, Rise Against, Mt. Joy, Martha Wainwright, Kansas and Ben Howard—which are still only a fraction of the 200 acts slated for the fest (full-line-up here)

FEQ, which dates back to 1968, also includes genre-themed stages, including: a country music “hoedown”  headlined by Zac Brown Band, with Charley Crockett, and Morgan Wade; an EDM night, featuring Alan Walker and Loud Luxury; as well as a Québec stage which will include composer and pianist Alexandra Stréliski, Polaris Prize-winning Montreal rock band Karkwa, and the soulful Clay and Friends, Additionally, FEQ announced a number of global acts including regional Mexican singer Ivan Cornejo, Malian performer Vieux Farka Touré, and Nigerien guitarist Bombino

The summer festival makes use of The Plains of Abraham, an historic battlefield where in 1759, the British and French fought a decisive battle. The site is now the location of FEQ’s main stage, with a capacity of over 80,000. Other stages include the Hydro-Québec Stage (8K cap, but can expand to 15K), across from the stunning 19th century Québec Parliament Building and two alternating and side-by-side stages: the SiriusXM Stage and Loto-Québec Stage (12K cap + 7K outside).

Tickets for FEQ cost $150 for the 11-day festival  (or approximately $13.63 per day) and are, unlike most festivals, fully transferable. Last year’s 125,000 festival passes sold out in a record-setting two hours, but were seemingly still easily attainable.

The fairytale-like town of Quebec City, founded by Europeans in 1608 by French explorer Samuel de Champlain on cliffs overlooking the St. Lawrence River is, for most Americans, the closest thing to a European city within driving distance of the lower 48.

Festival d’été de Québec is managed by a non-for-profit organization and features five stages located in the historic part of Quebec City. Dating back to 1968, the festival has included some of the biggest artists in the world, including the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Stevie Wonder, Bruno Mars, Billy Joel, Bon Jovi, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Lana Del Rey among many others.
