For the kid who grew up with Hot Wheels into an adult fan of monster trucks, Family Entertainment Live and Mattel have joined forces to create “Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party,” and the global franchise has become a massive hit in the U.S. and Europe. Now it’s a hit in Mexico, too, where it has expanded with a Mexico City debut in front of some 70,000 fans over four events at 22,000-capacity Arena CDMX April 13-14.

Between the world’s largest toy company and a leading family entertainment producer, Mattel and Family Entertainment produced a record-breaking, glow-in-the-dark spectacular in conjunction with Mexican promoter Zignia Live. The “Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party” will return to Mexico in 2025, with stops in Mexico City July 5-6, 2025; Monterrey, July 12-13, 2025; and Guadalajara July 19-20, 2025.

“We are very excited to have Mexico City added to our rapidly expanding international tours of

‘Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live.’ The fan response has been incredible, resulting in historic

attendance numbers and selling out in advance,” Family Entertainment CEO Ken Hudgens said.  “Our incredible partnerships with Mattel and Zignia will have us coming back for years to

come, while also extending our tour into Monterrey and Guadalajara next year.”

“Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party” brings fans’ favorite Hot Wheels Monster Trucks to life including Mega Wrex, Tiger Shark, Demo Derby, Bone Shaker, Bigfoot, Gunkster, and introducing the brand new HW 5-Alarm fire truck.

The Glow Party production features spectacular lighting and theatrical effects, dance parties, and Hot Wheels toy giveaways. Fans can also witness a special appearance from a transforming robot, plus the high-flyers of Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Freestyle Motocross Team.

“We are delighted to have celebrated for the first time ever in Mexico the Hot Wheels Monster

Trucks Live show,” Zignia Live GM Alejandro Arce Saldívar, said. “Arena CDMX is and will continue to be home to this amazing family show.”

Family Entertainment Live, which also produces family shows including the “Magic of Lights” holiday tour, has brought Hot Wheels toys to life across North America and Europe, and has a full slate of dates on the calendar for 2024, with new summer dates announced.

Across the “Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party” 2023-24 leg’s U.S. highlights so far were performances at Cure Insurance Arena in Trenton, New Jersey, that reportedt 13,465 tickets sold for a gross of $400,002 over four four shows; at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, with 18,574 tickets moved for $540,221 over three events; and State Farm Arena in Atlanta, with 25,320 tickets sold and gross of $812,701 over three shows in January.
