Shinedown, War And Treaty & More To Perform At Inaugural Grammy Hall Of Fame Gala
On May 21, the Recording Academy will host its inaugural Hall Of Fame Gala at The Novo Theater, and Andra Day, Ravyn Lenae, Shinedown and The War and Treaty have been announced as performers. The show will be hosted by CBS’ Anthony Mason, with Atlantic Records announced as the gala’s first label honoree.
“We’re honored that the Recording Academy and GRAMMY Museum have chosen Atlantic to be the first label celebrated at what promises to be an exciting annual event,” Atlantic Music Group Chariman and CEO, Julie Greenwald, and Atlantic Records Chairman and CEO, Graig Kallman, said in a joint statement. “The GRAMMY Hall Of Fame includes many of the most groundbreaking recordings in our company’s 75-year history, and it will be great to hear some of our outstanding current artists bring their unique voices to these timeless songs.”
The gala will honor 2024’s Hall Of Fame inducted recordings including De La Soul’s 3 Feet High And Rising, Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite For Destruction, Buena Vista Social Club’s self-titled album and Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill,as well as recordings by Donna Summer, Charley Pride, Wanda Jackson, Kid Opry’s Creole Orchestra, the Doobie Brothers and William Bell.
“We are thrilled to be able to recognize Atlantic Records’ incomparable contribution to recorded music, including numerous Hall Of Fame inducted recordings, as our first Hall Of Fame Gala label honoree,” Michael Sticka, President and CEO of the GRAMMY Museum, said in a statement. “We’re looking foward to celebrating them along with this year’s inducted recordings during an unforgettable evening of performances by some of today’s most talented artists.”
