UTA Signs Grammy-Winning Mexican Singer Natalia Lafourcade
United Talent Agency bolstered its roster of Latin artists by signing singer-songwriter Natalia Lafourcade for worldwide representation in all areas except touring in Central and South America.
Lafourcade is one of Latin America’s most celebrated contemporary artists, expanding her pop-rock sensibilities by incorporating old, familiar sounds from other countries and creating timeless music that anyone of any age can appreciate.
She recently received the 2023 Rolling Stone Legend Award for what has been a stellar 23-year career that includes 17 Latin Grammy awards, a feat no other female artist has achieved, and four Grammy awards, including the Record of the Year honor in 2023 for the album De Todas Las Flores. The singer celebrated the release of her Grammy-winning album with a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York City that featured David Byrne, Jorge Drexler and Omara Portundo as special guests. She will return to the venue along with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic on Oct. 10. The two will also team up to perform at the Hollywood Bowl for two nights on September 6 and 7.
The Mexican star, who has released nine albums and sang the Academy Award-winning song “Remember Me” from Disney’s “Coco,” had a successful run of shows in 2023, including two sold-out concerts at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles that grossed $1,098,560 off 11,588 tickets, according to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.
Lafourcade is managed by Juan Pablo López-Fonseca and Margarita Bruzzone. She joins a UTA roster that includes Bad Bunny, Karol G, Rosalía, Myke Towers, Eladio Carrión and Ángela Aguilar.
