‘Rise Up NYC’ Summer Concert Series Returns To All 5 Boroughs

New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced the city’s “Rise Up NYC” summer concert series’ return for the 2024 season with 14 free shows throughout August. Fans can catch free performances across all five boroughs starting on Aug. 1 at SummerStage at Crotona Park in the Bronx.

The shows are put in in partnership with City Parks Foundation SummerStage, which hosts free concerts trhoughout New York City throughout the entire summer season.

“Once again, starting on Aug. 1, New Yorkers will gather together and partake in the music and culture that keeps our city moving, Mayor Adams said in a statement. “‘Rise Up NYC’ is a free concert series that fosters camaraderie among Ne Yorkers and brings enjoyment to our beloved city. Music and the arts are essential to our city, and this summer, we are going to amplify the experience and make sure we are giving residents of the five boroughs an all-star experience at no cost. We welcome all New Yorkers to join us in celebrating the vibrant energy of our city through the shared joy of music.”

The lineup for the shows has been announced including performances by Ice T, Keith Sweat, Patti Labelle, Sean Paul and more.

“Our ‘Rise Up NYC’ concert series is back, offering free outdoor concerts in all five boroughs,” Ingrid Lewis Martin, chief advisor to the mayor, said in a statement. “As summer kicks into high gear, we invite all New Yorkers to bring thier family and friends for fun nights and world-class entertainment in the city that never sleeps. Together we can Rise Up!”
