The Weeknd To Livestream São Paulo Concert On YouTube

The Weeknd is set to take the stage in São Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 7 and fans can tune in starting at 5 p.m. PST/8 p.m. EST. The one-night-only event takes place at Estádio MorumBIS and the show has already sold out.

“I’m so excited to announce that we’ll be livestreaming my show from São Paulo, Brazil, so everyone around the world can be a part of this special night,” The Weeknd said in a statement. “I wish I could come to every city and town on Earth, but moments like this give us the chance to connect in real time at least and share that energy together, no matter where you are.”

The Weeknd will be donating 10% of net proceeds from all merchandise sales at the event and online to the Brazilian Soul Fund of BrazilFoundation, which directly support communities in Brazil affected by natural disasters with ha focus on helping families in southern Brazil recover from the recent floods. Fans watching the livestream will also have the opportunity to merchase merchandise during the show.

Last October, The Weeknd wrapped up his “After Hours Til Dawn” tour at Estadio Akron in Zapopan, Mexico, with 41,145 tickets sold and a gross of $5.9 million. The trek saw The Weeknd taking the stage at stadiums across the globe. He performed two nights at Allianz Parque in São Paulo, Brazil, on Oct. 10 and 11, each night grossing $4.6 million.

The Weeknd is booked by CAA’s Darryl Eaton worldwide, and he’s managed by SALXCO Management.
