Christian Nodal earns “Hot Shot” status on LIVE75 with the highest-ranked debut on the chart, scoring the No. 18 ranking based on three arena performances in San Juan, Puerto Rico, during his “Pa’l Cora Tour.” The Mexican artist performed on Aug. 23, 24 and 25 at Coliseo de Puerto Rico and sold a total of 33,857 tickets during the run, an average of 11,285 per show. The combined gross from the concerts totaled just over $2.48 million for the event, produced by Jose Dueño Entertainment and Cárdenas Marketing Network.

The shows occurred two weeks prior to the launch of the tour’s North American leg that began at Seattle’s WAMU Theater on Sep. 11. The 25-show run booked at arenas in the U.S. and Canada will span more than nine weeks, wrapping at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on Nov. 10. New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Houston, Toronto, Miami and Atlanta are among the markets included on the upcoming trek.

Earlier this summer, Nodal took the “Pa’l Cora Tour” to Europe for a stretch of eight concerts in June and July, playing a variety of venues. Box-office totals reported from six of the dates showed an average of 4,669 sold seats per concert for an average gross of $284,710. His top attendance was recorded at Madrid’s WiZink Center with 14,154 tickets sold and a gross totaling $995,626.

The Weeknd has the top debut on the Artist Power Index at No. 5 following his stadium concert at MorumBIS in São Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 7. The livestreamed event featured new music from the singer’s next album, Hurry Up Tomorrow, as well as performances of some of his past hits. Although its release date has not been announced, the new project will be the final album in a trilogy that includes his two most recent studio albums, 2022’s Dawn FM and 2020’s After Hours.

Coming up in October, the pop star will head to Australia for two-show engagements in two major markets beginning with concerts on the fifth and sixth at Marvel Stadium in Melbourne. Then, on Oct. 22-23, he will perform in Sydney at Accor Stadium. The shows will be his first in the country since November and December of 2017 when he played six arenas in Oceania during his “Starboy: Legend of the Fall Tour.”

Two other concert headliners make their debut appearance on the Artist Power Index in this issue beginning with Linkin Park at No. 26, based on the reunited band’s Sept. 11 performance at Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.

The show kicked off a string of six concerts this fall with new vocalist Emily Armstrong in the lineup. After another U.S. show planned at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Sept. 16, the band is set to play arena dates in Hamburg, Germany and London, followed by concerts in South Korea and Colombia before the end of the year.

Then, Lil Wayne enters the Artist Power Index at No. 49 following his recent performance at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield on Aug. 14. The following day, fair officials announced that he set a new grandstand attendance record of 15,427 for the show, surpassing Jason Aldean’s 2011 concert attendance of 15,329. The rapper will kick off a month-long run of U.S. arena dates on Sept. 20.

Ranked No. 2 on LIVE75, Luke Combs is the “Heavy Hitter” for the ninth time in 2024, replacing Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band who held that status for four of the past five weeks. The classification highlights the touring artist with the highest gross average on the chart.

The country star averaged $6.42 million per show, based on ticket sales at four concerts on his “Growin’ Up and Getting’ Old Tour.” Two shows at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium, Aug. 2-3, and two more at NRG Stadium in Houston, Aug. 9-10, moved a total of 197,750 tickets for a $25.6 million gross.

At No. 34, Don Omar is LIVE75’s “Breakthrough” artist with the best sellout percentage for a performer ranked beyond the top 25.

The Puerto Rican rapper sold out shows in 13 cities, including in downtown Los Angeles where he played for 8,713 fans at Crypto.com Arena on Aug. 20.
