Linkin Park Adds Paris, Dallas, São Paulo Stadium Dates
After selling out their six announced arena dates, Linkin Park will now play three stadium shows on the band’s return to the road.
The nü-metal stalwarts will play Paris’ La Defense Arena Nov. 3, Globe Life Field in Dallas Nov. 8 and Allianz Park in São Paulo, Brazil. Nov. 15. Fan club presales begin Sept. 25 with general on-sale Sept. 27.
After being largely dormant for seven years following the death of lead singer Chester Bennington, the band announced a new tour and new music in a live-streamed announcement and concert Sept. 5.
At that announcement, guitarist and vocalist Mike Shinoda introduced two new members: singer Emily Armstrong (formerly of Dead Sara) and drummer/producer Colin Brittain (G Flip, Illenium, One OK Rock).
The choice of Armstrong in particular has been heavily scrutinized due to her support of convicted rapist and former That 70s Show actor Danny Masterson during his trial. Armstrong addressed that controversy in an Instagram post Sept. 6. In that post, she said she was asked to show support for “someone I considered a friend.”
“Soon after, I realized I shouldn’t have,” she wrote. “I always try to see the good in people, and I misjudged him. I have never spoken with him since.”
Still, Masterson’s victim and Bennington’s son have both said Armstrong is not a suitable replacement for the singer.
Linkin Park is being managed by Bill Silva Management and Machine Stop Entertainment. WME’s agenting team consists of John Marx, Ron Opaleski, Kevin Shivers, Rob Markus, Josh Javor, Brian Cohen, Dvora Englefield, Claire Macleod and Jake Wilk.
