Foo Fighters Drop From Soundside Music Festival, Jack White & Greta Van Fleet Step In As Replacements

Foo Fighters announced on their social media pages today that the band will no longer be performing at Soundside Music Festival on Sept. 29 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The band did not elaborate on why they wouldn’t be in attendance, and directed fans to check the festival website for more information. Soundside shared that Sept. 29’s new headliners would be Jack White and Greta Van Fleet.

Queens of the Stone Age previously canceled their appearance at the festival on Sept. 29 due to frontman Josh Homme’s health issues.

Foo Fighters are booked by WME’s Don Muller and are managed by John Silva and Michael Meisel. They’ve been steadily touring stadiums throughout the summer, with highlights including a $6.5 million gross at BMO Stadium with two shows on Aug. 9 and 11, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. They headlined two dates at Citi Field in New York City on July 17 and 19, the shows grossing a whopping $9.5 million.

Jack White is booked by WME and his own recent tour highlights include a $137,848 gross at Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio, on Aug. 31 for his sold-out date at the venue. Greta Van Fleet is booked by WME’s Ron Opaleski and David Bradley, and they’re managed by Q Prime AF’s Aaron Frank. Greta Van Fleet joined Metallica for their date at Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City on Sept. 20. Highlights from the band’s own recent headlines include a gross of $604,951 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, on Aug. 2.
