Shakira Unveils Latin American Dates For ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour’
It was inevitable. As Shakira preps for her “Las Mas Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour” run in the U.S. and Canada this fall, the international superstar announced what many of her fans have been waiting for. The Colombian singer is returning to Latin America and will bring her highly anticipated tour to stadiums in six countries, including a stop in her hometown of Barranquilla where she has not performed in 19 years.
The Latin American leg of Shakira’s Live Nation-promoted tour kicks off Feb. 11 at Estadio Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She will also be visiting Estadio Nacional in Lima, Peru; Estadio Atanasio Giradot in Medellín, Colombia; Estadio El Campíin in Bogotá, Colombia; Estadio Nacional in Santiago Chile; Estadio Camp Argentino de Polo in Buenos Aires, Argentina; and three stops in Mexico, including a show at the 65,000-capacity Estadio GNP Seguros in Mexico City that caps her LatAm run.
Tickets will be available via an artist presale beginning Oct. 8, and additional presales will run throughout the week leading up to the general onsale, which begins Oct. 11. They can be purchased at the artist’s website, Shakira.com.
Shakira is going out on the road to promote her latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran (Women No Longer Cry), which earned her a Latin Grammy nomination for Album of the Year. Much like the LP, the tour aims to “promote a message of empowerment and strength” to multiple generations of fans, according to a Live Nation release announcing the additional dates. The promoter also promises a high-tech production to showcase “her biggest hits, new songs and several surprises” in what will be “an unforgettable experience, both visually and musically.”
Prior to her landmark Super Bowl halftime performance alongside Jennifer Lopez in 2020, Shakira last toured North America in 2018. Highlights from the trek included two sold-out nights at the Forum in Inglewood, California, grossing $2.3 million. She also played two nights at AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami that same tour, selling out and grossing $2.8 million.
Shakira is represented by WME worldwide.
