AC/DC’s ‘Power Up’ Tour Heads To North America
AC/DC are set to make their return to the United States for the first time in nine years with their “Power Up” tour next spring. Brian Johnson returns as the band’s frontman and vocalist, with Angus Young on lead guitar, Stevie Young as rhythm guitar, Matt Laug on drums and Chris Chaney on bass.
The trek kicks off in Minneapolis, Minnesota on April 10 and includes stops in Vancouver, Las Vegas, Nashville, Chicago and more before wrapping up in Cleveland on May 28. AC/DC will land at 13 stadiums, stopping in every corner of the United States throughout the Live Nation-produced tour.
AC/DC is booked by CAA’s Rob Light worldwide. Their last reported tour date to Pollstar’s Boxoffice took place on Aug. 17 for their show at Croke Park Stadium in Dublin, which sold out with 82,298 tickets grossing a total $14.3 million. They toured stadiums throughout Europe last summer, with stops in Germany, Austria, London and more.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale Dec. 6 at 12 p.m. local time.
