‘Rising Demand, Organic Growth, Ongoing Synergies’: CTS Eventim Continues To Grow In 2024

CTS Eventim has reported another year of record revenues and earnings. “Rising demand, organic growth, ongoing synergies and a successful international acquisition policy are the pillars of our robust growth,” commented CEO Klaus-Peter Schulenberg.
Consolidated revenue for 2024 was up by 19.1% compared to last year’s figures, and stands at €2.809 billion ($3.029 billion), while adjusted EBITDA increased by 21.9% to reach €542.2 million ($584.6 million).
Because the conversion rate from EUR to USD has changed since CTS Eventim published its preliminary year-end figures last month, the group’s turnover in 2024 exceeded the $3 billion barrier for the first time in history.
“Besides a very buoyant fourth quarter, international acquisitions also played a key part in these excellent results,” the press release announcing CTS Eventim’s 2024 results states.
With global demand for live entertainment on an upward trajectory, the group’s ticketing business benefited particularly strongly from this in 2024 thanks to its scalability in terms of volumes and internationalisation.
Ticket sales also benefited from recent acquisitions being consolidated into CTS Eventim’s earning for the first time, including Punto Ticket and Teleticket – the ticketing market leaders in Chile and Peru, respectively – as well as See Tickets, which the company acquires from Vivendi in 2024, and which has a strong presence in both the UK and US.
“In addition,” the press release continues, “the majority acquisition of the French market leader France Billet at the beginning of December 2024 contributed positively,
with parts of the Christmas business already fully consolidated.”
In concrete numbers, CTS Eventim’s icketing segment generated €879.9 million in 2024, which marks a 22.7% increase compared to the 2023 results. The adjusted EBITDA stood at €416.5 million (plus 21.1% year-on-year).
In the live entertainment segment, CTS Eventim profited from own productions, touring concerts as well as venues.
“Elf The Musical,” for instance, an Eventim Live production, was a hit over the holiday period in New York, ranking fourth among the best-selling musicals on Broadway in mid-December 2024 behind Wicked, The Lion King and Hamilton.
Formula 1 and Harry Potter, among others, proved to be successful touring exhibition formats.
And, once again, the strong local business performances of the many promoters united under the Eventim Live umbrella boosted live entertainment earnings.
CTS Eventim operates several iconic European venues, including the Eventim Apollo in London or the Waldbühne in Berlin. Arena Milano, scheduled to open at the end of this year, will complement the portfolio, as will a new arena in Vienna for which CTS Eventim won the tender in November 2024 – a tender that comprises construction and subsequent operation of the arena.

CTS Eventim’s live entertainment segment generated revenue of €1.971 billion ($2.125 billion) in 2024 (+17.6% YOY), and adjusted EBITDA of €125.6 million (+24.4%).
As the group points out in its press release, “this meant that the adjusted EBITDA margin was increased by just under half a percentage point despite persistent upward pressure on the cost of infrastructure, personnel and fees.”
Against a backdrop of stable macroeconomic conditions, CTS EVENTIM is anticipating a moderate rise in both total revenue and adjusted EBITDA in 2025.
Klaus-Peter Schulenberg, CEO, CTS Eventim, commented, “Rising demand, organic growth, ongoing synergies and a successful international acquisition policy are the pillars of our robust growth. We have ensured that – in addition to our technologies – our processes and business models are becoming great exports. They are the basis on which we will integrate future acquisitions even more quickly, realise synergies even sooner and enhance our success and attractiveness as a partner for international acquisitions and equity investments.”
