Swedish hip hop group Hov1 took the stage at Gärdet in Stockholm Friday night, Aug. 29, to perform their final concert ever, and they set a new audience record for a single outdoor concert in Stockholm, with 52,236 visitors. The concert was co-promoted by Rush Ent. and United Stage.

The record was previously held by Metallica, who welcomed 51,867 people in the audience on May 30, 2014.

The success with Hov1 is not the first record achieved by promoter Rush Ent. Earlier this summer a new attendance record at Ullevi was achieved with artist Håkan Hellström and 73,781 in the audience. It marked the largest Nordic show to date.

Joel Borg at Rush Ent. said, “Legendary. What started as a vision of an overwhelming finale for Hov1 at Gärdet has now resulted in a magnificent firework display as well as a new audience record in Stockholm.

“It’s incredibly cool to have been part of experiencing something among the greatest we’ve ever seen and heard, and now that they’re calling it quits…the biggest hats off – a salute to Hov1 for a monumental artistry, concert, and conclusion…historic.”
