Comcast Spectacor and The Cordish Companies are set to open the $20+ million transformation of Stateside Live! on Friday, May 29, with a free concert by Taking Back Sunday and Mayday Parade. The outdoor event space is designed to redefine South Philadelphia Sports Complex as a year-round, multi-experience entertainment destination unlike anything else in the region.

“As we look ahead to the future of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, the newly transformed Stateside Live! represents an important anchor for what’s next,” said Dan Hilferty, Chairman and CEO of Comcast Spectacor.“ Coming off the heels of a transformational renovation project at Xfinity Mobile Arena, this incredible sports and entertainment destination offers an exciting glimpse into the growth, innovation, and experiences we’re building for fans and the community.”

The newly expanded property is set in the center of the Sports Complex, site of Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park and the Xfinity Mobile Center, with a reimagined plaza introducing new experiences for attendees.

“More than 15 years ago, we made a commitment to invest in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex with the belief that it would evolve into one of the nation’s premier sports-anchored entertainment destinations,” said Reed Cordish, Principal of The Cordish Companies and CEO of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment. “With this expansion, we’re introducing a new, hospitality-driven experience for fans, visitors, and the broader Philadelphia community that elevates how people come together to gather, celebrate, and connect. The Cordish Companies is proud to continue reinvesting in the Sports Complex at Stateside Live! and Live! Casino & Hotel and play a key role in its continued growth as a leader in sports and entertainment.”

The expansion follows Philadelphia-based Stateside Brands coming on as the venue’s new title in the fall, with upgrades leading to an indoor–outdoor entertainment destination that can host concerts, festivals, and private events for up to 5,000 guests. Features include a 5,000-capacity purpose-built outdoor Coors Light Stage, which includes 1,000 seats, a two-story AVA Rooftop Bar, PBR Backyard including its own outdoor stage, dance floor and VIP spaces, and additional Blue Moon beer garden and Stateside Crush Bar.

Opening weekend, including the aforementioned free show with Taking Back Sunday, Mayday Parade and Bayside, will be followed by a Saturday night show with Los Angeles-based DJ duo Two Friends. Additional events are expected to be announced soon.
