Pussycat Dolls Cancel U.S. Dates After ‘Taking An Honest Look’ At Tour

Millennial pop group the Pussy Cat Dolls have canceled its 30-date North American leg of its “PCD Forever” tour with the band’s official statement saying the “difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel” came “after taking an honest look” at the run.
The dates, announced in March, included 32 mostly amphitheater dates, with shows in major cities across the country including a July 20 gig at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The only U.S. date kept on the schedule is a June 6 appearance at the OUTLOUD Music Festival as part of WeHo Pride in Los Angeles.
Refunds for those who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster or AXS will be issued automatically, the statement says, with those purchasing from third-party resellers needing to contact their point of purchase.
The group’s Sept-Oct. run of UK and Europe dates are still on, with shows at venues including Accor Arena in Paris, Hallenstadion in Switzerland, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Co-op Live in Manchester and The O2 in London.
“Our UK and European dates are still moving forward as planned, and the response has been incredible, with several shows already sold out,” the statement reads. “We are putting everything into making this show a true celebration of the music and the memories, for the fans who have been with us from the beginning and those discovering us for the first time. We’re working hard to create the kind of show we’ve always dreamed of bringing to you. We cannot wait to bring this reunion to Europe and make these nights unforgettable.” Support for the UK and Europe dates is Lil’ Kim
“PCD Forever,” in celebration of 20 years since the Pussycat Dolls breakthrough PCD album was released, was to three of its original six members, including star lead singer NIcole Sherzinger, who won a Tony award for her portrayal of Norma Desmond in the “Sunset Blvd.” Broadway production in 2025.
The Pussycat Dolls’ most recent headline dates include a string of shows in 2011 in casinos in North America, and the band’s most active touring occurred in 2009, with arena headline dates in the UK, Europe and Australia along with support dates for Britney Spears at North American arenas.
Their most recent date in Pollstar’s tour history was a 2021 headlining gig at Resorts World Arena in Birmingham, UK. The group headlined and sold out European arenas in 2006, at venues including SSE Wembley Arena and 3Arena in Dublin, with Rihanna as support.
The cancellation follows other high-profile tour cancellations or postponements, most notablyPart 2 of Post Malone and Jelly Roll’s “Big Ass Stadium Tour,” with Post Malone publicly saying he needs more time to work on new music before hitting the road.
Another U.S. tour cancellation came last week when One Direction star ZAYN scaled back his “Konnakol World Tour” and scrapped the U.S. leg. The singer cited an unspecified illness. Meghan Trainor also recently canceled a 33-date U.S. tour saying she wants to spend more time with her family.
