Lucy Dickins’ impact in 2026 went far beyond traditional agent-client relationships. Her year was part and parcel of one of the live business’s 2026 hallmarks: major disruption. The news on March 9 that Dickins was leaving WME as Global Head of Contemporary Music and Touring for CAA shook the agency world.

“Lucy is a tremendous business leader and exceptional agent, with a deep understanding of talent and what it takes to help them realize their most ambitious goals,” said Bryan Lourd, CAA Co-Chairman and CEO said in a statement in March. “She’s a dynamic, thoughtful and hands-on leader with invaluable global management experience, creativity and strategic insight. We look forward to working with her across all divisions of our company.”

For Pollstar’s 2026 Impact 50, Dickins identified three larger trends she sees in the live marketplace impacting the future of the live business.

THE ARTIST’S WAY
“I like that artist-led community is becoming a more central touring model. More artists are attaching tours around climate action, reproductive health, food security, local nonprofits, or fan action villages rather than limiting impact to one-off charity announcements.”

PARTICIPATION TROPHIES
“Fans increasingly want belonging and purpose, not just access. The most effective artists understand that fandom today is participatory. These experiences turn fandom into action without making the concert feel preachy or performative.”

AUTHENTICITY
“The most exciting initiatives are not gimmicks. They invite fans to become co-creators, participants, and contributors to something larger than the show itself. The artist’s universe becomes a living.”
