Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment has been busy expanding the portfolio of marquee arenas and venues it operates: from Newark (Prudential Center) to Jersey City (White Eagle Hall) to Landover (Northwest Stadium). Chief Programming Officer and Head of Entertainment Sean Saadeh explains that “by leveraging multiple entertainment venues of all different sizes, from intimate 800-seat clubs to massive multi-thousand-capacity stadiums, we created a continuous ecosystem for talent and audiences alike. With one phone call to our team, you can find any sized venue for your artist(s) in some of the most diverse and strong marketplaces in the country.”
But it doesn’t stop there, as the company will be reopening historic wonder Loew’s Jersey Theatre in the fall, while having “a direct role in the design of two new state-of-the-art venues in Philadelphia and Washington, D.C.” The goal is simple, in Saadeh’s words, to “diversify our stages, maximize asset utilization, and ensure our venues serve as permanent anchors for their communities.”
What he finds inspiring right now isn’t just what happens on stage, but how venues are adapting to the changing live entertainment landscape.
“We are seeing a massive shift toward multi-night stadium/arena events, a new age of entertainment, and the evolution of the fan experience,” Saadeh says, adding, “as a portfolio, we aren’t just watching these trends, we are actively deploying those tactics to dictate how we build, restore, and scale our properties.”
HBSE is meeting the current market volatility head-on by shifting “from defensive management to offensive strategy,” focusing on fans, and diversifying its programming.
“By staying adaptable and data-driven,” says Saadeh, “we are successfully navigating 2026’s economic realities and continuing to grow our brand value globally. We have also continued to grow through owned events, giving us greater financial stability and creative freedom, while creating different programming for our fans.”
